Who We Are

Henry Jones established the Company in 1962, Ten years later it became a Limited company. Today Henry Jones's three sons run the company. Emlyn, a Quantity Surveyor who joined the company from John Mowlem construction; Bryn Jones the office manager; and Alwyn Jones a time served joiner with the company.

Our company is based in Criccieth, Gwynedd, where it has a conveniently located workshop for specialist work. We employ 30 local people, 25 of which are Tradesmen consisting of carpenters, bricklayers, plasterers, a plumber and decorator. All Cricciethemployees are trained through the CITB and Gwynedd Construction Training Group. We also aim to employ two apprentices every two years either in carpentry, bricklaying or plastering. Our company is also committed to Health and Safety Training and regularly reviews and updates our company Health and Safety Policy. A number of our employees have attended and gained certificates in the following courses - The Site Management Safety Training Scheme for the Construction and Civil Engineering Industries, Emergency First Aid Course, First Aid, Foundation Course for Harness Users EN361, CDM Regulations for Principal Contractors, C.S.C.S Health & Safety Awareness, Woodworking Machine Health & Safety, Abrasive Wheels Regulations, Scaffolding Safety Inspection and Health and Safety Awareness - in relation with the construction skills Certificate Scheme.

  • Sandwell Metropolitan Council internal and external refurbishment of Plas Gwynant Residential Centre, Nantgwynant.
  • North Wales Fire Service Alterations and extensions to Dolgellau Fire Station and new training house in Pwllheli Fire Station.

  • North Wales Police, installation of new Shower Rooms in Various Police stations and alterations and extensions to Dolgellau Police Station.

  • Cadwalader's Ice Cream Criccieth, New extension and refurbishment of existing shop at Criccieth..

Our company has over 40 years experience in the same market, and seeks to continue our development into the supply of specialist purpose made joinery to both trade customers and clients.

We are members of and regulated by Construction line & National Federation of Builders. We have also qualified with CHAS (Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) and Members of Ynys Mon & Gwynedd Construction Group.
